Privacy Policy
How this guide handles your personal information
This Privacy Policy explains what the Sydney Airport parking guide collects when you use this website, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask about or remove your data.
What this page covers
Anyone visiting this website or sending a message through the contact page is covered by the practices below. The same rules apply whether you are comparing parking airport Sydney options for a one-off trip or checking details for a regular commute.
The guide is an information resource. We do not operate car parks, we do not take bookings, and we do not pass your details to the operators or booking platforms you read about here. If you later book with an operator directly, that operator's own privacy policy applies from that point on.
Four questions come up most often: what you collect, how you use it, how long you keep it, and how someone asks you to delete it. Each of those is answered in its own section below, followed by the legal basis, sharing rules, your rights, security, children's privacy and how the policy changes over time.
Information we collect
When you write to us, we receive what you send: your name, your email address and the content of your message. Because people often ask about a specific trip, that message may also mention your terminal, travel dates, or the kind of parking you are weighing up. We keep it as you sent it.
Separately, the web server and analytics tools record basic technical data automatically. That covers the pages you open, roughly how long you stay, the referring site or search phrase, your browser and device type, and your general location by region rather than a precise address. This is the ordinary traffic data most websites collect.
How we use your information
We read your message to answer your question. If your question points out something wrong or out of date in the guide, what you sent may be used to correct that page. Traffic data helps us see which parking airport Sydney pages are actually read and which ones need rewriting.
We do not use your contact details for marketing. You will not be added to a mailing list, and we will not send follow-up offers. We do not pass anything you send to car park operators or booking platforms. If you ask for a reply to a question, we use your email for that reply and nothing else.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for two jobs: keeping pages working as expected, and understanding how visitors move through the guide. A separate Cookie Policy explains what these files are, which categories we use, and how you can manage or disable them in your browser.
Blocking some cookies is a fair choice, and the pages still load. A few parts of the site may behave differently without them, particularly anything that remembers a preference between visits. You can clear what is already stored at any time from your browser settings.
Legal basis and consent
There are two reasons we hold information. The first is your consent: you chose to send an enquiry, and the details in it are processed so we can answer. The second is a legitimate interest in running and improving an accurate information resource, which is what the traffic data supports.
Consent can be withdrawn. Ask us to delete your message and contact details and we will do it, which also ends any reply in progress. The Terms of Service cover the rules for using the site itself.
Retention and sharing
How long we keep data, and who sees it
Retention is deliberately short. Enquiry messages and contact details are kept only while they are needed to answer your question and to keep a record of corrections made to the guide. Once that is done, they are deleted or anonymised. Technical data sits inside the analytics tools under their standard retention settings, not ours.
We do not sell personal information, and there is no list of contacts to sell. A small number of service providers help the site run, such as the email service and the host that serves these pages. They see information only to perform that work and are bound by terms that restrict what else they may do with it. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect the rights and safety of the site and the people using it.
- Enquiry messages
- Held while the question is answered and corrections are logged, then deleted or anonymised.
- Contact details
- Kept with the message, used only to reply, removed on the same schedule.
- Traffic and analytics data
- Held by the analytics tools at their standard settings, in a form that does not name you.
- Car park operators
- Never receive your details from this site. Any booking you make with them sits under their own policy.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything wrong, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, send it to the contact details at the bottom of this page and tell us enough to find your message, such as the email address you wrote from and roughly when you wrote.
We will respond within a reasonable period. Sometimes a request cannot be met in full, for example when a record of a correction still needs to be kept, or when the law requires information to be retained. When that happens we will say which part is limited and why.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect what you send, and access to messages is limited to the people who answer them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection. Short retention is a large part of the safeguard: the less we hold, the less there is to lose.
Children's privacy
This site is written for adults planning travel, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us with enough detail to find the message and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices change or when the law does. The current version is always the one published on this page. Where a change matters to how your information is handled, we will make it clear on the site rather than leaving it to a quiet edit.
How to contact us
For any question about this policy or about personal information held on you, write to us or call. Requests about your data go through the same route as any other enquiry and are answered within a reasonable period. The office is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
